Dr. Heather Shpuniarsky

Heather Y. Shpuniarsky has completed her Ph.D. at Trent University in Indigenous Studies with a dissertation entitled, “The Contemporary Relationship between the Anishnaabeg and the Haudenosaunee”. This work concerns the complex nature of the ancient relationship between these two nations and uses historical consciousness to grapple with it in a contemporary context. Heather has also taught at Trent University for eight years.
